Hi Everyone! I'm a second year civil law student from Canada and am new to the forum...

I was just curious about how to go about finding work/volunteer opportunities for law students in DR. I recently visited and have fallen in love with the country....the way of life is something very appealing to me and would love to pursue employment opportunities there...

Any information you all might have would be much appreciated...

Thanks

There are lots of volunteer organizations here. However, you should know that volunteering in the law is not going tohappen unless you are trained in the French "Code Civil", know French and Spanish. English Common Law is not done here.
If you want to work out something such as a student exchange program with one of the universities here, where you could maybe see our young lawyers-to-be assisting indigent clients at our law centers, then contact www.pucmmsti.edu.do

Good luck
