Any chance of you getting Carib Air's number tomorrow and posting it?
I can't get their website to work.

I take privete plane from Puerto Plata to Punta Cana from Air Santo Domingo. It's cost me about 400$. Flight was nice, plane too small but safe.
We have flight during 1,5hours.
I have very nice view.

Since you have also inquired about visiting Haiti...

The only time I have been to Cap Haitien I did so by small private plane. The plane flew us from Puerto Plata airport to Cap Haitien airport, the pilot spent the night with us, we toured the Citadel and visited some art galleries, and left the next day. We stayed at the Mont Joli. Am talking about more than 20 years ago. I would recommend this as a way to go.

As a pilot with several ratings and endorsements, a former flight school owner, and former FOB (like a marina for private/corporate aircraft) owner where we maintained an FAA Repair Station Certificate, I wouldn't fly on a DR registered aircarft for love nor money. Nor would I fly on a DR based aircraft for the same motivation.

Just recently the DR aviation authorities grounded a bunch of airplanes for BS maintenance procedures and parts.

Just one man's opinion.

Harsh Words

But a lot of truth to them, unfortunately.
(SAP) has a decent
safety record compared to others but still,
with an HI tail number....meaning Dominican registration,
the controls of mtc. and other safety related items are
sorely lacking.
There just isn't a market for local flights for a top-notch
operation.:ermm:
