Hi, people have used this address to receive mail and has been reliable. A slight problem with packages is that there is 1) a notice of receipt of the package at customs. 2) you must take the notice to the post office and buy stamps. 3) you take the stamped notice to the customs office (aduana) and receive your package after it is checked at customs. I suggest that your family go to the aduana (with their cedula and/or passport) and inquire about the package. I have been their to receive packages and noticed packages for friends. When I advised them, they had not receive their notices. Email me if I can help further.

Thanks for the great advice. I will get in touch with my familly to see if they will do what you suggested.Is the customs office in Puerta Plata ? I guess they could get the address easy enough
