I have a very special family that will has begun a long process of applying for a visitor visa to Canada for july of 2001.

Could someone please let me know what would be the best way for this family to obtain airfare to Canada. Should they contact a local travel agent, or airlines? Does anyony know the cost of airfare to Canada?

My travel agent in Canada was no help and advised me to arrange airfare in Puerto Plata directly.

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe they cannot fly with a Canadian charter and will instead have to fly American Airlines, which will mean a change over either in Miami or New York and will be considerably more expensive. This is how my friend's husband flew here. But I wouldn't get too excited until they actually are granted a visitor's visa. Good luck.
