Hola,
I have a simple but common question...I am planning to come back 'home' after a few years away in the US. At this point I would like to find information as to what universities require in order to become a tenured professor in the Dominican Republic. I have a masters in Literature and am currently in a PhD program. Also, I am a certified teacher of Spanish language and have taught both High School and University level. I am open to teaching at a private school as well. Can anyone guide me as to where I can find more information? I have tried various universities' websites but have not gotten too far. Gracias,

First let me say that I have never heard of a "tenured" professor in any of the universities inthe DR.
That said, your first job will be to get a job, preferably a "full time" job at one of the universities. Otherwise, you will need to get jobs at three or four of them to make ends meet.
Another thing. None of the universities hire over the Internet.

Good luck.
