From La Romana to Saman?

Hello,
can someone let me know what is the best way to go from La Romana to Saman??
Is there any travel transportation or is the rental car the only option?

Sylvia: You best option, safest option, is to bus to Santo Domingo and then bus to Saman?. It will be a long day. Driving will be almost as long and much more stressful.

You "could" get to Sabana de la Mar and take the ferry across the bay.

It would be an adventure...
