watersports

I just recieved my travel docs for a trip to Punta Cana the week of 4-17 thru 4-23 and I was told that all motorized and non motorized water vehicles would not be allowed to operate, also horseback riding and bicycling from 4-19 thru 4-23 is closed. Is this really the case? I was told the government closes these activities any info, T or F? thanx, randy
