I don't know for sure but a few years ago when I had to do some contract work in Dajabon we stayed in Monte Cristi, which was only 20 min. away in a nice hotel even if it didn't have ac. Also the downtown area was quite quaint being next to the sea and all and we ate at a seafood restaurant where I had some of the best lobster tail I had ever eaten. I don't think there is a whole lot in Dajabon while the sunrise/set in Monte Cristi is something else.

See link below that you look up the listing for Dajabon and Monte Cristi.

The only one I've stayed at is Gallery, and it was adequate but nothing exceptional.
The restaurant next door is OK - it does Mexican as well as Dominican food - I enjoyed the Margaritas!
