Baseball in Dominican in April

I know about the winter league and even the Dominican summer league but does anyone know if there is any baseball being played in the Dominican in April. Will be in Puerto Plata area next week and the next - anything near me worth checking out? Thanks for any info.

.david all or most of the baseball camps are located around San Pedro de Macoris, wich happens to be pretty far from where you are staying.maybe four hours or more.Anyway, there is not much to see during this time of years, all or most of the players are in the USA in the majors or the minor leagues during this time of the year.

There are several children baseball camps in the city held in the summer, but they do not offer lodging.
