At the rental shop......

....would be the best place to leave a motorcycle/moped while you party. Have you experienced driving there? Have you travelled the roads? If not I am sure you are about to get lots of advice.

I take it by your vague remark

That rentals are often stolen if left unsupervised.
And That rental shops are plentiful in Puerto Plata.

One way to rent a bike is ask a motoconcho if he wants to rent his. We do this often for friends who are visiting. 3-400rd is what we pay daily. No contract, no giving out your private info. If you ding it you buy it, or at least repair it, but that?s no big deal.
