I am going to be studying Spanish during the fall semester in Santo Domingo. I can choose one of two different language schools in the city. The first is located in the Zona Universitaria (Instituto Intercultural del Caribe) and the other is located in the Zona Colonial (Hispaniola Language School). Can anyone provide a little information about these two different parts of the city? It would be helpful as I am a female, have never traveled to the DR before, and consider safety to be very a important concern for me. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
