What's the country bird or flower?

Can someone please tell me what the country's bird or flower is? Thank you.

Not 100% Sure but

I think it is the Cotorra-the species that is native to the DR/Hispa?ola Island. this is the parrot that is green with red shoulders .
I think that the flower is the hibiscus, but don't ask me to be your Second Chance.....

I think the cotorra you're referring to is commonly called cigua palmera. The hibiscus flower doesn't sound like the national flower, BUT I could be wrong. For some reason, I am thinking of something else...but the name escapes me right now.
