Caribe Tours Bus Service runs 20 after the hour. Cost from Sosua $240RD. You can take a public taxi from Cabarete to the Sosua bus station.
It is about a four hour bus ride on a very nice air conditioned bus.
Metro Servicios TuristicosPleasent bus ride, but bring a sweater as the AC can be artic like at times. There is also a Metro bus from the Texaco station in Sosua at about the same price but only runs a couple of times a day. It is a little faster as it makes less stops on the way (only one it POP and one in Santiago). We try to use this one. Someone might have the schedule and be able to post it here for you.

That's good to know.Metro Bus leaves the Texaco Station in Sosua for Santo Domingo at 8: 20 am, 1:20 and 5:50 pm
Near the SDQ airport? Will either of the busses drop me near the airport?
And that's really not very expensive, considering how far the airport is from the bus depot. You will need to take a cab from Metro or Caribe Tours station. As those are "street taxis" parked in front of the terminals and the fare to SDQ airport would run about 700 or 800 pesos, if your Spanish is good and you can play to be the local. Radio taxis are difficult to get at both stations because of location and traffic. Possible, but you might need to wait 15-20 minutes to save maybe 100 to 150 pesos, but would need to call them.
If your spanish is not good, take the street taxis parked in front of the Caribe/Metro terminal and do not pay more than 800 pesos, or 1000 pesos if you go after 8 pm.
That's good to know.
So they leave here 40 minutes before the POP scheduled departure.
Do you know if those are the only 3?
PS: Congrats, Amigo.
