Has anyone stayed at the Jaguar Apart Studios on Hermanos Deligne in the Gazcue section of Santo Domingo?

Is the hotel closer to Avenida Independencia or Bolivar?

Do you remember the room rates?

I will email them but I know what to expect, a one week wait for a reply.

It is closed to the independencia... and as written on the web site, the rates are from 45 dollars.

I guess I missed the rates. You have anymore info? Am I correct that it is located right behind the Jaragua Hotel/Casino? I want to catch a few baseball games and this would be a good central location.

Yes, it is right behind the Jaragua, so it is closer to Independencia. Hermanos Delinga is the street between Socorro Sanchez and Cervantes. I have never stayed there though.

Thanks, I know exactly where it is, right around the corner from Restaurante Conoco.

I guess I will take my chances because the location would be ideal.

Well, if you don't want to take your chances, you could stay at the Hotel Raizor, which is right on Independencia behind the Jaragua, and has been mentioned favorably by other posters through the years here at dr1. Again, I've never stayed there, but a search should pick up some links, and you would be in virtually the same location.
