Spending a week touring the DR on motorcycle

Hello all, and thank-you for all the great information posted.

I will be arriving in Sosua on Nov. 11th, and after a 2 day stay in Sosua I am going to tour the island on a motorcyle for a week.

Marco please reserve a room for me from sunday the 11th until tuesday (I'll e-mail you again).

Can I use an atm in the DR and what are the fees?

Any suggestions for a motorcycle rental and how do you resolve carbuerator issues after 6,000 feet in the mountains? (I will be riding through the mountains)

Also, what do you recommend as gifts for kids in the DR?

Any suggestions will be welcome.

just the normal things children like........colouring books and pencils,hats with logos, flip flops that arent broken, blow up beach toys,sweeties,baseball gloves.....errrm shoeshine kits (only joking)
