Travel on Christmas Day

Just wondering how it is to travel in DR on Christmas Day. Will gas stations/gomeros be open or not? We plan to travel from Cabarete to Las Galeras. Thank you.

most gas stationsare open, I love driving on Xmas day there is even less traffic than on a noormal sunday. I will be arriving in Santiago and travelling to Puerto Plata on the 25th. Great day to drive.
