Has anyone been to Las Terrenas lately and saw them digging for sewer and water mains? If so, how far along are they and how messy is it?

I don't know about sewer or water mains, but my wife just got back from an all day shopping trip to LT on Saturday and both she and the taxi driver said a lot of the town roads were in terrible condition with mudholes in abundance. She said it wasn't because of digging sewers or mains but just in terrible condition overall.

The roads are in terrible condition but they are also digging to replace pipes. It is very messy especially with rain. Don't wear high heels ; )

Per a firsthand source, many 18 wheelers are coming through Las Terrenas for the new gas station and all of the construction trucks building the new expensive apartments.

Traffic Chaos in LT

Has anyone been to Las Terrenas lately and saw them digging for sewer and water mains? If so, how far along are they and how messy is it?
The town is a mess because of the ongoing works for a sewage system.
They dug up all the streets and there is hardly any stretch of good road left.
With the usual lack of discipline and common sense daily chaos takes place.
Try to avoid this place!
