San Pedro de Macoris.
How far fron Playa Dorada is it and whats is the best way to get there?

hai you know san pedro is really nice, great malecon with nice dominicans.
only it is on the other side of the island by santo domingo and boca chica.

Hello Mia,
As Elleke has said, San Pedro is quite far from Playa Dorada, because Playa Dorada is in the north of the island, and San Pedro is ... well in southeast, very near Santo Domingo, about... 5 hours by road.

It is very far. About 6 hours by bus. Go on Caribe tours bus from Puerto Plata ( downtown ) for RD 80.00 to Santo Domingo. From Santo Domingo bus station take a taxi to the San Pedro bus station (about 15 minutes drive) I do not know the name of the street that the buses leave from, then the bus to San Pedro is about 1 hour from Santo Domingo.

If you are coming for a visit, it is better to book a resort in Juan Dolio, 10 minutes from San Pedro. San Pedro has no acceptable beach and is 99.99% Dominican. I hope you speak Spanish.

Mia--what kind of info are you looking for??? San Pedro is NOT what you'd say would be on the usual tourst must-see list. If you are looking to do mission work or looking for other than the toursty write me at my hotamil address and I'll have the other info.
