Can anyone tell me how to change this.

I enter google.com and google.com/do opens and it's in Spanish. If I click on Preferences, English isn't an option.

Is there a way to get directly to google.com without the 'do?' And yes I'm in the DR. It doesn't happen to me in the States.

This has been bugging me too. Even if you select English as your language preference, the next time you go to Google.com either using a bookmark or by typing out the url, it defaults to google.com.do when I'm in the DR.

Try looking directly under the search bar for a link that says english (small print). You have to click it each time, but you get english version.

Thanks to all. The link you sent works perfect. if I type in google.com and get the 'do' at the bottom of the page on the right hand side is English. Never was able to find it before - isn't even listed in Preferences.

Thanks Mr. Mike. I've copied the link that goes directly to the English one and put it in my favorites. But all these options are what I was looking for.
