You have us all wrong. We respect and applaud the rights of all Dominicans to enjoy free access to beaches in DR. What we saw
from the originating post was a tourist taking advantage of the fact of free access to get on his soapbox to try and get support to gain
free access to a resort through that right. We saw someone that was trying to make a point and become some martyr for the
dominican people because they where not given access to a beach. It looked like sour grapes to us because they where asked to
pay for access. The mere suggestion that they offered to pay for a guard by their side was absurd at best (why would management
use up limited resources to stay at one persons side for the day, even if paid for?). This to us, was using the people of DR's freedom
of access, to thier own cause. We love DR for its beauty and gracious hosts. We were not suggesting that Dominicans are
responsible for crime at resorts (crime is everywhere in this world). Actually, we were suspicious of someone elses reasons for
coming on a property USING the dominicans peoples right to freedon of access to make a point for their frustration to the
management of the facilities in question. Again we stress that we have no problem with free access to beaches for residents of DR.
We love everyone we have met in your country and enjoy your country very much. We may be wrong but felt that these "visitors"
were out of line in using your issues to vent their frustations. We did not mean to offend in our response. If we are wrong "kappa" we apologize. Only hope you have a better respect of the Dominican peoples than you do of the Haitians!!!????
