What a lousy thing to say....

Anyway, Key may want to check out the Dominicanismos section of www.aguaita.com They have a list of Dominican words, phrases and mannerisms. Some are really funny and typically Dominican like "A po' ta' bien". It's cool to see where these phrases come from. Personally, I can and do say "Ah, pues est? bien" when I need to be formal but when I'm just hanging out and comfortable, the Dominican in me comes out. Another funny thing is when I get mad, I automatically spout off in Spanish, speaking a mile a minute, surprising myself with the words that fly out of my mouth.

The one I really like is "chin-chin" for something really small such as a little more cream in my coffee.
