Is there anyone that has the latest information on the closure of Playa Grande G.C. Several months ago I heard January 09 was thier schedule for major redevelopement. I have several groups interested in visiting the north coast early next year and they are interested in playing at P.G.

It has been really wet lately as the drainage is not great. Thus far it is business as usual, and with the economic collapse i would think you are safe in bringining down your buddies to play. Pete told me it was wet as could be, and they lost balls in the actual fairway today. PM for details compadre.

They have signs posted that they will be closing in April 2009 for renovations and will re-open as a private course, and they will also be building a resort where the Occidental is or soon won't be.....shot a 6 over on the back 9 yesterday and yes the course was quite wet....

Thanks for the update you two as I am away for a few months.
By the way, knowing Pete's game as I do ,he loses balls even
when he putting!:cheeky:

Missing the tee shot over water on 12, and the second shot over water on 18 at Playa Grande!
Lost tee shot and second shot in the water, $1.50 each golf ball,
............... View of the Ocean on those holes, PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
