In country travel

I am looking to find out the cheapest travel from Santo Domingo to Puerto Plata and about how long it takes. I am guessing bus? Thanks as always for your help! Oh, for those who know me, I will be back for a few weeks on the 16th.

yes, I guess bus is the cheapest way. I recommend going with Caribe Tours or Metro, which are very comfortable with a/c.
The trip will take you about 3 1/2 to 4 hours, depending on traffic. As far as price go, I believe you'll have to pay around 70 - 90 pesos. Last time I went, I did so with another company and payed only 35 pesos. Those were minibuses, but not that comfortable.
