New Years Eve in Punta Cana!

I am planning to celebrate New Years Eve in Punta Cana @ the Riu complexes. I have never spent new years, in the D.R. Generally speaking, do people dress really fancy? or is it more relaxed attire? Silly question but just not sure what to pack!

It is fancy. Bring an elegant evening gown.

If you don't feel like dressing up, casually elegant attire should also do.
