Cheap Rice

Believe it or not, sometimes some colmados offer not only rice at lower prices than most super markets... even in small quantities.
We currently are getting some quality rice in a wooden shot gun shack colmado on Luis Ginebra (opposite to Bayardo) for 22 Pesos a pound.

Then there are some coops which sell rice in 50 Lbs bags and said to be cheapest, but I haven't "shopped" at any yet.

try and find the local almacen (warehouse) where the colmados buy from.That will be the cheapest.

Depending, you could go to Navarrete where there are two rice mills and see about special pricing for your needs. Also in Mao there are maybe ten rice mills...
