I was watching some of the memorial service whilst getting ready for work this morning. In June we were in NYC, typical Brit tourists, and we had to pass right by ground zero, it wasn’t somewhere we had planned to visit. I really never expected to be so moved by the experience. We had breakfast in a small place called The Stage door and there were photos of the fire fighters and rescue workers, also all the tributes and photos etc in the little church across the road made the whole thing so much more real and personal.
My heart goes out to all those who were involved and I was thinking today that, whilst the attack devastated the lives of thousands it has touched the lives of millions!
