I've been trawling a few message boards with subject lines of the Dominican Republic. Many questions there.
One thing we can do right now to help the DR maintain its tourism is to respond on these boards with local knowledge and facts to overcome any hesitation folks may have about taking their vacations here.
I took on Yahoo this morning. I will continue to post there to encourage people to come to the DR, and that things are normal. If a few of us did the same on other message boards read by those in other countries, it might add up to a significant thing for the DR. Knowledge is power and very few want a vacation with significant unknowns.
It might get censored out ofmy messages, but I also direct them to Dominican Republic News & Travel Information Service for local information on the DR, and add that most posters actually live in the DR or visit often.
