After the coronavirus outbreak in the Dominican Republic, the DR1 Travel and DR1 Daily News were temporarily merged. It’s now been two months of major restrictions for operations at sea and air ports. Covid-19 has caused the shutdown of an estimated 99% of the hotel rooms around the country. Talks are now underway to ready the country for opening first to the domestic traveler and then to international markets.
