Economy Minister Juan Ariel Jiménez led a virtual meeting with specialists from the health sector of Costa Rica to learn from their Covid-19 experience in applying tests, pharmacological protocols and good practices in the use of mechanical ventilation

Jimenez said this is part of rounds of international experience exchanges to support the local efforts to slow the spread of the disease. He said bilateral meetings are scheduled with Latin American, European and Asian countries to promote the exchange of knowledge. In his welcoming remarks, Jimenez thanked the Costa Rican authorities for their support. He highlighted Costa Rica’s successful management of the pandemic.As of 24 May 2020, Costa Rica had 951 confirmed cases and 10 deaths.
