JCE moves to organize the absentee vote

The plenary of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) held a virtual meeting on Wednesday, 27 May 2020 with the secretaries of the Coordination Offices of Electoral Logistics Abroad (OCLEE) and the representatives of political parties in each of the host governments, to review the current situation for the preparation of the 5 July elections. The JCE on 26 May 2020 finally issued the resolution that calls for the organization of the presidential and congressional elections abroad on the same day as in the Dominican Republic.

The JCE says that the director of the Dominican vote abroad, Gilberto Cruz Herasme, explained there is a tendency to look for large locations.
