Sports Minister Francisco Camacho delivered the Association of Santo Domingo Sports Writers (ACD) award to athlete María Dimitrova for her achievements in karate. Dimitrova is a two-time Pan American Games medalist.
The award ceremony took place at the Sports Hall of Fame auditorium at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.
Also present for the awards ceremony were the president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Luis Mejia Oviedo; and deputy ministers of Sport, Franklin de la Mota, and Kennedy Vargas.
