Abinader says next shipment from China is due soon

President Luis Abinader reassured reporters that the next batch of 1 million doses of vaccines from China are due to arrive “shortly.” President Abinader made the comment when visiting the Pedro Henriquez Ureña University (UNPHU) vaccination center on Saturday, 3 April 2021. The center, as others, is open for applying only the second dose. Abinader was accompanied by Vice President Raquel Peña, who chairs the Health Cabinet that manages the Covid-19.

Several vaccine centers operated during the Easter holidays to comply with second dose applications.

China has sent shipments of Sinovac/Coronavac vaccines and a donation of 50,000 first Sinopharm vaccines.

The President says the administration has enough vaccine to finish the second round of shots for those that have had the first vaccination injection. According to sources over a million persons...
