Traffic reaches almost 1 million in October

Dominican airports handled almost 1 million travelers in October; air traffic is growing in leaps and bounds.

Both incoming and outgoing air traffic are on a steady rise, according to the Civil Aviation Board (JAC).

From 1 to 31 October 2021, Dominican passenger flow was 949,783 passengers, a 9% growth compared to the same amount in the pre-pandemic October 2019. The stat for October is up 50% when compared to September 2021.

The data is released in the “Air Transport Statistical Report” for October 2021. Of the total 949,783 passengers mobilized, 483,037 came on inbound flights and 466,746 left on outbound flights. There were 7,681 air operations.
