BOC Aviation announced it has leased five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to Arajet of the Dominican Republic. The long-term lease agreements are part of the company’s fleet expansion strategy as the Dominican Republic-based airline flies from both Las Americas International and Punta Cana International airports to Puerto Rico and the United States. The airline is already booking travel to Miami, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines and will be delivered in 2026 and 2027.
As reported in Aviation 24, BOC Aviation CEO Steven Townend highlighted the deal as part of the company’s fleet expansion strategy, while Arajet CEO Victor Pacheco emphasized the partnership’s role in strengthening the airline’s regional presence.
