Reminder all posts need to be DR related. The passengers from the DR were sent back to the DR.

The small vessel had five individuals onboard – three men who claimed to be Dominican Republic nationals, and a man and a woman who claimed to be Russian nationals.

The Coast Guard noted that one of the migrants had a previous criminal record in the United States and was charged with attempted illegal re-entry.

Please correct me if I am wrong but It's my understanding all of the ILLEGALS caught trying to enter the US thru the Caribbean/ South Atlantic in yolas from the DR have always been immediately sent back to the DR regardless of who was in charge.

I think the only exception was the 'wet foot, dry foot" rule for Cubans but that is no longer in effect.

Just who in DR thinks it's a good idea to smuggle Russians into US territory, despite that they may be great people.
