This is what will turn the tide eventually on tourism.
DR built it's AI tourism on a cheap and warm getaway.
If it continues to soar in costs it will be the proverbial killing of the Golden Goose

Considering the airfare cost to most of the countries on the list (flying from the EU) , I'd say the DR with having so many beautiful beaches, is a long ways away from this scenario.

They have unbelievable cheap package tours from the EU. Airfare and AI included. Anyone that thinks these AI's are packed with Americans has not spent much time there................

I found Colombia a little cheaper than the DR, but not that much.
It makes one wonder about the 126 to 38 Euro difference, 88 Euros a day alleged difference between DR and Colombia, no?
Quite different from your personal experience, it would seem.

Thankfully I will never find this out myself and will have to rely on third parties for this information.

It is true that the price could eventually make the DR too expensive, but will people really go to those cheaper countries in that list from number 7 on down?
I have no idea what the Euros will do..

It's cheaper to fly to most of South America, Mexico and Hawaii than DR. But yeah the cost of Hawaii is very high.
