Miches keeps getting hotter

First there was Club Med. Then Temptation. Then Marriott. Miches is the hottest place in the Dominican Republic right now, and it keeps adding new branded resorts. The latest? Hilton’s first Miches foray, the Hilton Zemi Miches resort, which has a range of accommodations options but some particularly great-looking bungalows on the sand.

The new 500-room Hilton is opening in late June. Rooms starting at $539 in a tropical view configuration. The Club Azure rooms, which are Hilton’s answer to the Preferred Club, start at $706. But you’re actually better off going with a plunge pool beach view room at $648. This one is part of the Curio Collection.

Right now none. I had the last good Casino with a large sportsbook at the Hard Rock about 2015..........
Yes I remember. So Hard Rock doesn't have the Sportsbook anymore. That's a shame. It looked very international.

We left and they tried to stay open and closed shortly afterward. You can call the area a sports bar that shows games, but there is no betting so no real sportsbook there now.......

I remember guests at other resorts would take a taxi to the Hard Rock just for the casino/sportsbook.

The problem with operating the sportsbook there is that in the DR a Sportsbook cannot issue credit, casinos can but not books. So the HR is an AI of course. So anyone checking is has already paid in advance . We found that most of the guests did not bring much actual cash. So the handle was not even close to what we expected. Basically a waste of time. But I did have a free Suite there to use for five years……….So it was not too bad………
