Many Dominican stars have had a difficult time in the opening weeks of the Major League Baseball season. Rafael Devers is not at third base for the Boston Red Sox, and he is not happy. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. signed a great contract with the Toronto Blue Jays, but he has yet to put up numbers that would justify his mega-salary. Juan Soto needs to produce more for the NY Mets. Fernando Tatis Jr. is looking great and his team is happy with his performance.

With all these ups and downs, it is very encouraging to follow the ball player career of Freddy Peralta, fast-ball pitcher in his eighth season for the Milwaukee Brewers. From Moca, the young pitcher has had a fairly spectacular start. In eight outings as a starting pitcher, Peralta has registered four wins against two losses.
