State prosecutors did not present evidence that the Venezuelan medical doctor title presented to the Ministry of Superior Education by Venezuelan Karla Moya Boada was not real, nor that she was irregularly exercising medicine in the country. Moya Boada has sustained she is a legit practicing physician graduated as a doctor in Venezuela.
The charges were initially made by TV investigative journalist Nuria Piera as she investigated the irregular practice of medicine in the country by several practitioners. Piera presented testimonies by former patients of Moya Boada who complained about botched-up procedures.
A first court had cleared Moya Boada and the second court concurred the evidence against Moya Boada was not presented by the prosecutors.
