The start of dialogue on the “Haitian Crisis and its Implications for the Dominican Republic” at the Economic and Social Council (CES) has been rescheduled for June 5th, from June 3rd.
CES president Rafael Toribio announced the change in a statement, noting the first session will now take place at 4pm in the Professor Juan Bosch Auditorium of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National Library.
Toribio emphasized that the talks represent a call for democratic maturity and the search for consensus in developing a national strategy to address one of the most complex and prolonged challenges in contemporary history.
