New developments in Haiti with drones combatting gangs and bank accounts frozen

Reports from Haiti are that drones would have killed more than 100 members of Haitian gangs in the past 48 hours. The Haitian Presidential Transition Council recently contracted foreign mercenaries to combat the gangs that control Port-au-Prince.

Moreso, in a press conference on 10 June, chief prosecutor in Port-au-Prince Frantz Monclair announced the freezing of bank accounts of individuals sanctioned under the United Nations resolutions: Jimmy Chérizier, alias “Barbecue,” Johnson André, alias “Izo,” Renel Destina, alias “Ti Lapli,” Wilson Joseph, alias “Lanmò San Jou,” Vitelhomme Innocent, Luckson Elan, and former Deputy Victor Prophane, as reported in Haiti Libre.
