Arajet adds New Jersey flights

Arajet, the locally-based low cost airline, has begun daily flights between Newark International Airport (EWR) and Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International Airport (SDQ). The flights deliver strong fare competition to the route, with travelers hopeful the days of very expensive fares to the New York area will now be in the past. Other nonstop flights to the NY/NJ area are by Delta, United and JetBlue.

Flight DM 2310, carrying 185 passengers, arrived at 10:30am on Monday, 16 June 2025, with Tourism Minister David Collado; the director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Igor Rodríguez; and the founder and CEO of Arajet, Víctor Pacheco on board.
