From September 1 to September 30, 2022 the Museo de Arte Moderno in Santo Domingo will be hosting an event focusing on wonen as photographers and videographers.
Starting the first week of the event the museum will have an exposition called "Mujeres" (Women) with photographic works of more than 50 photographers that will tell the story of the history of women photographers ranging from pioneers to current famous ones. Afterwards the exposition will be presented in various venues in Santo Domingo and in the interior. Events wilk include guided visits, workshops and conferences with Dominican curators and artists, and those invited from various places around the world. Some of the topics that will be discussed includes anti-women discrimination, violence, migration, stereotypes, social exclusions, etc. Everything will be in Spanish.
