$200 round trip to Ft Lauderdale with Spirit

I just bought a ticket with Spirit for US200 for a roundtrip ticket to Ft Lauderdale(US78 round trip + taxes). I have been flying with them almost exclusively for the last year as American and United just apparently can't compete.

They had a special to Orlando for US138 round trip with taxes but I missed it as I couldn't decide on my itenerary soon enough.

Since I have to go to Orlando I will need to rent a car at about US80 round trip but US280 is still a lot cheaper that paying US480.

If one travels back and forth between Florida and the DR Spirit is the way to go - just check the website frequently for deals.

The secret is after putting the approx dates in and the cities to check a few days before and after to make sure one is getting a good price - they make it easy because after entering the itineray a list comes up with different options for departing with a button just above the list to the left and to the right that says that says "Day After" and "Day Before".
