2022 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championships to take place in Dominican Republic

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) announced that the Dominican Republic will host the 2022 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship [CWU20] and 2022 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship [CWU17]. The hosting is important to continue promoting the sport in the Dominican Republic.

The World Cup Qualifying competitions will take place from 25 February to 12 March and 23 April to 8 May 2022.“The CWU20 and CWU17 Championships will each be disputed in two rounds, beginning with a 16-team group stage. After round-robin play, the top three teams in each group will advance to the knockout stage [joining the four best teams from their respective qualifiers].
