I think that you will like the Maison Gautreaux. It is great for the money. You will pay about $35 USD per night for a room and it has all of the security and privacy that you want and need. You can request a refrigorator in your room and there is daily maid service. The rooms have A/C and Cable TV. Also have a free digital security safety box in the room.
The owner is a good man and I would call him a friend. you will be more than impressed with the place. I would suggest the Masion Gautreaux, but I would send an email directly to the owner and request a room for the dates that you are looking for. *** Be sure to tell him that you found info about his hotel from members of the DR1 community ***
