Air Transat and the Flamenco Bavaro in Punta Cana

Does anyone have an email contact with Air Transat in Canada?

We are booked to stay at the new Occidental Flamenco in Punta Cana and need an update from them and so far, to no avail, their customer relations have not responded to any of our emails. Very poor reflection of their company.

If you know of someone who could help -- or with other tour operators who offer the hotel -- it would be greatly appreciated.

If your writing is not about comments or complaints, from what they say in the Air transit site, they will not answer your e/mail. You should contact your travel agent.

That's a big part of the problem. Air Transat tells the poor travel agents that things are okay yet they have stopped sending people. If they would just be honest, rather than covering their butts, it would go alot further to our understanding of the situation.

Air Transat is really dropping the ball on this one!

Just returned last night from a week in Punta Cana. We

stayed at the Catalonia Bavaro, which is beautiful, and

during our stay we managed to see some of the newer hotels

in Punta Cana. We visited the Flamenco. This hotel is still

under construction, they currently only have one buffet

restaurant and the beach buffet restaurant open. In my

opinion, definitely not ready for tourists yet. They claim

everything will be open by Dec. 15. We stayed at the

Catalonia Bavaro, which is a gorgeous hotel, and many

people who had been booked into the Flamenco transferred to

our hotel.

Debbie, you just came back from staying at the Catalonia, how was the ocean, was there still a lot of sea weeds? I was told there were lots in front of this hotel. Also, did you see the LTI Sol de Plata Resort, how did it seem?

The water seemed to be stirred up somewhat. Yes the there was more seeweed than usual but was getting better by the end of the week. The beach was cleaned daily.

Unfortunately we did not see the LTI resort. It was on our list but we did not have time to see it.
