ALISS Department Store

I came across this department store yesterday in San Isidro and was very impressed. It's a Miami based store with a very clean. fresh, up to date store that is to my eye, focuses on colors and design of products for the tropics.
It's very new as the center its' in is new, slick and very modern.

Worth a trip in my opinion.

Yes that is what I found. I now see it is close to Sirena and not far from our apartment. Might check it when there. That whole area is developing btw..

I know, and it is far along the way of developing. I bought so many things for the house that I am renovating. One of my biggest finds was for my flooring. Now we are decorating the inside of the house, the patio, and a balcony off the bedroom. This store has everything I need.

The beauty of this store and its' location is: I don't need to cross the bridge and go into the capital. BIG plus. And with the store being very new it has all new merchanside and stocked well. Plenty of help.The other stores in his new mall are of the same caliber. Slick, new, modern.

I really like that little shopping center with GreenBowl/Tablehood which has the best burgers this side of the river. Casa Cuenta and Valentinos round it out. I haven't been to Aliss but will check it out soon.

I found Aliss because I went to Casa Cuesta to buy a refrigerator that was on sale.After I paid the bill I walked down to the rest room by Green Bowl and walked into Aliss.I'm planing on going to lunch at Green Bowl next week.

All the area on San Isidro is developing. Next will open Innovacentro, it will be the biggest Ferreteria in SDE, allso there will be a new medical center right between Bravo and Sirena. I bought a lot stuff in Aliss, most at Sambil,but since they open here a few years ago, I've had only a 5 minute ride. More and more stores are coming to SDE, so we can avoid crossing the bridge much often. I'm waiting for a new, modern mall like Agora, I hope I'll see this too one day.

They're all nice and I like them, but they need to do something about Autopista San Isidro between DeGaul and San Vincente. Traffic there really sucks. I don't know what they can do except to not allow parking or pulling over in the right land and disallowing double left hand turns. You would need traffic cops every 100 meters to enforce that.

Greek owner, with roots in Venezuela.
The ones who own Aliss here are Venezuelean and was one of the anchor stores in Sambil Santo Domingo.

Reminds of a Target/ Bed Bath and Beyond,. Bought a nice outdoor table a chairs there. Great for household items. They had a location that sold nothing but Christmas items all year long
