All-Inclusives = ciggaretes and cigars

Wondering if the all inclusive getaway includes smokes and cigars
i have heard of it in the past.. but do not recall seeing anything about it recently.

If you truly want good cigars there are only two or three places to look and all are in Santiago or Santo Domingo. 99.9% of all cigars sold in or near the Hotels are fakes so do take care.

Agree with HB " Caveat emptor"

All cigars at stores near or on resorts are fakes, and not even very good copies. Even at the large mercado's in Santo Domingo you must be aware of what you are buying, some of the best brands are absolute fakes and made of sweepings and stalks and do not burn well or smoke well.
I can attest to this as I bought some Arturo Fuentes #2's in a large mercado and returned them after smoking one for a refund which was finally given after a large hassle with the store manager. I then bought a box from a street vendor outside Boca Chica knowing they were fakes and found that they burned well and smoked very good, even better than those that were supposed to be authentic.
Caveat emptor.

back in the 80's cigarettes and cigars were included in some A-I packages. not any more.

I stayed in Playa Dorada last October. If smokers asked, cigarettes were provided. This did surprise me.

sorry for the misinformation. brochures used to list cigs. and cigars in the list of inclusions/features. haven't seen it listed for 10 years now, so i assumed it was no longer offered.
