American Airlines Resume Daily Flights LRM-MIA

American Airlines announced they are bringing back daily flights from Miami to La Romana starting December 5, 2024 and it will run one flight a day, daily.

The daily flight departs Miami at 10:37 a.m., arriving in La Romana at 2:00 p.m., with a return flight departing at 3:15 p.m

Any DR1ers ever done it SDQ is closer for me but it's a mass of people, even early on.
Years ago, we flew out of La Romana, it was ok. Small airport and I remember it was really hot in the airport. We have friends that spend time in Casa de Campo, so they are happy to see this route. It will be a good option for those going to the Bayahibe area. My concern is that AA may cut the route down the road as they did in the past.

I took this route years ago once when AA had it. Yes in and out, but not so fast. All smooth sailing until I put my carry on the conveyor. They took it off and spent literally 10 minutes examining my underwear and anything else in the bag. Not too pleasant...............
